Reinventing a transit-oriented property

As part of the multi-disciplinary design team, Fotenn was instrumental in the planning for a mixed-use development at 350 Spark Street in downtown Ottawa. We led the municipal planning approvals process which included a Zoning Bylaw Amendment and Site Plan Control application.

Located in close proximity to the Parliament Buildings as well as the future Light Rail Transit (LRT) station, the development involved the demolition of an existing hotel and construction of a 23-storey residential building and 27-storey hotel. Other development features included the design of a publicly owned private space (POPS) and the reconfiguration of commercial spaces.
