Fotenn Presents at Annual Ontario West Municipal Conference in London, Ontario

Fotenn’s Sarah Millar and Paul Hicks attended this year’s Ontario West Municipal Conference in London hosted by @OntMMAH and @AMOPolicy to speak on the topic of planning and local economic development. The conference was attended by over 350 municipal officials, staff, and other professionals involved in the municipal field and offered a day-long program of events on topics such as affordable housing, community hubs, and climate change.

Sarah and Paul presented “Do It Yourself: Rural Renaissance”, a session that focused on the linkages between planning and local economic development: helping municipalities to identify their local talent pool and assets; undertaking place making projects; and examining how to use existing planning tools differently to encourage and support local economic development.
