On October 8th, Fotenn’s Ted Fobert was moderator and guest speaker for a session entitled DEVELOPMENT TRENDS & ACTIVITY IN OTTAWA: WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR CONDO SITES? WHAT IS THE IMPACT OF THE LRT?  Together with two other guest speakers: John Smit (City of Ottawa) and Patrick Meeds (PMA Brethour), the session explored key policy thrusts supporting development in Ottawa; including the impact of transit, where residential growth is occurring in Ottawa and product type; and where the condo market is heading and the impetus for intensification.

Fotenn’s Miguel Tremblay moderated a session entitled:  REAL ESTATE OPPORTUNITIES IN GATINEAU – BEST KEPT SECRET IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION.   Panelists included representatives of Multivesco, Brigil, Heafey Group and Windmill Development Group.  The panelists discussed issues of downtown Gatineau redevelopment, residential intensification and transit, retail and office opportunities in the downtown, and suburban residential development.
